Andaman- Havelock and Port blair travel checklist
Take BSNL connection with you. It will be widely available and specially in havelock/swaraj dweep which has very poor connectivity. Always keep windcheater/light raincoat handy, as you may not know when rains will come. Carry a water proof bag to keep dry clothes and other important items. You can take it along short visits. Rise early and sleep early. As the island is towards far east, the sun rises early, so adjust your clock to about 1.5 to 2 hrs from delhi or mainland.. Radhanagar beach closes at 5 sharp Elephanta beach also closes at 3 PM. There is trek to elephanta from around 1.5. to 2 km before Radhanagar beach. Adventurous people can try it. ts not very long, around 1.5 km only. But not in rains, as it can be slippery. Boat to elephanta beach can be taken from the jetty.
