Kargil war

Tiger Hill

The hill slopes are barren, even a rock thrown from above can kill you. Nothing to hide or take shelter when climbing the hill. Nothing in the world like the Indian army which climbed these slopes without proper gear and in the hail of bullets to finally capture it.

Rights Ankur Sir..Kargil .. The name itself brings a sense of pride to all die-heart Indians..there are small stories of our real heros like one of Cp. Vikarm batra!! In his last moments..there was a radio message cought by his colleague.whih said.."Batra..agar tu uper aaya to tujhe goli maar dunga.." vikram was the real tiger...wounded but not down..he replied from his post.." accha hai..tujhe yakeen hai ke ab main uper aane wala hun...ab to main zaroor aaunga".. He died few mintues later.. not before capturing his words for INDIA. Salute to these Heros!!

There could be more memorials to start with which tell people about what happened... We were lucky to have gone to Kargil and Drass ourselves to see it first hand...
